Can Singapore fit a F1 Grand Prix race in 2008?
Singapore is currently in discussion with Bernie Ecclestone over the possibility of hosting a race here.
I'm hoping that it will be able to, for the excitement that it'll will bring to local Singapore and the vibrancy that it will add to the sport scene.
How it will do that. I don't know, because I don't see any racing circuit around as often now.
F1 motor racing is really a major sports event that will be closely watched by the regional countries. It will involve a lot of planning in terms of logistics and marketing to make it a huge success. The stakes are high and the excitement is real, it is an expensive bet that could only be justified by a good return on investment for the country.
All of these can only be answered thru more research and analysis.
